An active, down-to-earth community radio is able to evoke the sense of solidarity and shared common interests. We believe that by introducing a fresh voice and promising an all-inclusive attitude we are able to create the sense of belonging as well as a set of quality broadcasts.

Action plan to realize our objectives:

• Networking with all the Jewish institutions in order to achieve broadcasting regularly by January 2004

• Starting broadcasting from the Israeli editorial base by the end of November 2003, introducing daily newsreel of 30 minutes by January 2004

• Starting the radio’s own productions on issues of history, culture, religion etc. by January 2004

• Securing the financial support and make the transmission viable by 1 March

• Campaigning in the Hungarian mass media and introducing our production to the wider public

How will the project contribute to the Jewish community ?

The project will help in creating /developing a positive Jewish identity, strengthen the feeing of community and belonging on one hand, and will talk to the wider public on the other, dispersing information to all interested parties about the state of Israel and its citizens.

How will the project be realized successfully?

The success of our project can be guaranteed if two main conditions are fulfilled. Primarily, a devoted and professional staff pulls the radio project together and caters for an existing demand of the target audience. The functioning organizations and institutions are to provide background and inspiration in a communal radio.
Secondly a financial basis should guarantee the flow of production and development.
