Radio ZS will come to existence with a well defined two-folded objective:

1. It will provide a framework of common institutional infrastructure for Jewish institutions in Hungary and a voice of Hungarian Jewry

2. It will provide unbiased information from Israel of a wide range (Israeli current affairs, foreign affairs, cultural ties, everyday existence)

Although there are a great number of Jewish institutions and organizations working in Hungary, networking is scare among them as well as a common platform is missing. The growing of anti-Semitism feeds on a negative image of Israel.

Radio ZS is a grassroots initiation that can act in both directions, and provide solutions.

a. It is flexible enough to cater for institutions with various profiles,

b. It has a capable staff to produce broadcasts on Judaism and Israel.

The implementation of the project will produce a versatile picture of Hungarian Jewish life along with a colorful and fresh broadcasting production from Israel.
