The project is the first political Jewish project in Second Life. Some residents were at first concerned about bringing politics to Second Life, but after talking to Sofar Shepherd, most of them see his project as something truly important. “I had no idea about what was going on in Budapest. I think Sofar is doing a good job raising awareness,” commented Beth Odets, whose Temple Beth Israel is in walking distance from Jewish Quarter Budapest Information Center. She thinks the project is “fantastic,” and adds: “When I started TMA, I wanted to create a place where Jewish people feel comfortable. The fact that Sofar decided to move here makes me feel proud and honored.”
